Our mission is to increase awareness of the benefits of natural childbirth and homebirth by sharing empowering information with women, families and the healthcare community.

My three children were born at home in Mill Valley and Oakland, California.  It is impossible to describe how utterly transforming those births were for me.  I wanted other women to have this empowering experience and so began my journey into midwifery.  I filmed homebirths with a small, unobtrusive Sony 900 camera and was able to capture rare and beautiful images.

In Austin, TX, I met a very pregnant Naoli Vinaver, offered her a camera to film Tamaya's birth and that was the beginning of "Birth Day," our first professionally produced film.  Today, "Birth Day" has been seen by tens of thousand of viewers and is now part of the reproduction exhibit in the Museum of Science, Boston.
